“We are here for business, and our business is to serve,” said Dr. Milabel Enriquez-Ho, University President in her speech during the Training on Basic Customer Service and Employees’ Leave Administration hosted by the Human Resource Management Office in partnership with the Center for Continuing Education on April 22 at the CPADS Library, WMSU.

About 40 administrative personnel of the University signed up for the training that aimed to enhance their effectiveness in handling clients and to gain knowledge regarding leave administration.

Mr. Richard Hamja, President of the Administrative Personnel Association welcomed the staff of the University and reminded them to provide excellent service to clients and to be committed to work.

The resource speakers of the training were the Human Resource Management Officer, Mrs. Ma. Teresita J. Rodriguez and Director for Administration, Dr. Joselito D. Madroñal.

Mrs. Rodriguez discussed the topic on Leave—its definition, who are entitled to leave, the kinds of leave and how to apply for leave; while Dr. Madroñal lectured on the Effectiveness and Basic Customer Service Skills where the participants took part in a series of games to better understand how clients are to be served and dealt with in terms of complaints.

Vice President for Planning, Administration and Finance-Dr. Ederlinda M. Fernandez formally closed the workshop with words of encouragement for the personnel to enhance their services to the students and to the clientele.

The training-workshop was organized by the Center for Continuing Education, under the direction of Dr. Raquel Tomasa R. Ho and the Human Resource Management Office under Mrs. Ma. Teresita J. Rodriguez. (AJ Dalugdug – PAO, WMSU)
