Dr. Gonzales Elected New PASUC President

Dr. Eldigario D. Gonzales, WMSU President and Chair for PASUC Region 9 has been elected as the new President of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) during its General Assembly held on June 24-26, 2003 at the Heritage Hotel. He shall serve for a term of two years (2003-2005).

Gonzales is the first ZamboangueƱo to have been elected to this prestigious association. He succeeded Dr. Feliciano Rosete, President of the Ramon Magsaysay Technological University (RMTU) in Zambales.

Elected, as Vice Presidents are Dr. Nilo Rosas for the Natioanl Capital Region (NCR), Dr. Rochellir Dadivas for Visayas and Dr. Nelson Binag for Mindanao. Dr. Godofredo Gallega is voted auditor.

During the same assembly, Prof. Jarah Hamja was elected as President of the National Confederation of Faculty Association of SUCs (NCFAS) and Mr. Joselito MadroƱal as Business Manager and Board of Director for Region 9 of the National Federation of Administrative Personnel of State Universities and Colleges (NFAPSUC)

With Dr. Gonzales in Manila were Vice Presidents Dr. Marlene c. Ortega (Vice President for Academic Affairs), Dr. Julieta Y. Tabacug (Vice President for External Affairs and Open University System), Prof. Ricardo a. Adjawie (Vice-President for Administration and Finance), Dr. Milabel E. Ho (University Secretary and Secretary to the Board), Engr. Rogelio Espinosa (Dean, College of Engineering and Technology), Engr. Armando Arquiza (Dean of Student Affairs), Arch.
