Four WMSU Graduates Top Master Plumber’s Exam

Four graduates of Western Mindanao State University’s College of Engineering and Technology (WMSU-CET) were among the top 10 Passers of this year’s Board Examination for Master Plumber.

In a report to WMSU President Dr. Eldigario Gonzales, CET Dean Rogelio Espinosa identified the four as Christopher Laque, Benito Tan, Rey Vicente Rubio, and Dennis Atis, who placed second fourth, fifth, and seventh respectively in the examinations that were conducted this month in Manila, Cebu and Davao cities.

In the same report, Espinosa disclosed that a total of 26 engineering graduates of the university passed the same board exams. The university’s passing percentage was 65 percent, twice higher that the national average of 33.8 percent.

The licensure exam was conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). The oathtaking of the new plumbers will be held on October 1 at the Manila Pavilion Hotel.
