Agri-Board Examination Review I. Rationale The passage of Republic Act. No. 8435 Known as “Agriculture and Fisheries Modernization Act of 1997 (AFMA)” provides for the creation of the Board of Agriculture in the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) with the intent of up-grading the agriculture profession. In response to this move, the college of Agriculture, set-up its new Agri-Review center to prepare the Agriculture graduates to take the board examination. The first Agri-board result released last July 2004, 35% or ten passed from these twenty-four takers and the National passing rate was 28%. This year 2005, 25% passed and national passing rate was 29%. Considering that the college of Agriculture will pursue its role of providing review classes for its graduate to prepare them for the Board examination, it is vital to come up with the improved review services, especially on the schedule of review to ensure better passing percentage in the next scheduled board exams.
