WMSU Opens 200 More Slots For Nursing Freshmen

THE College of Nursing of Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) has opened an additional 200 enrolment slots for freshmen under its corporate program for the coming School Year 2006-2007.

Nursing College OIC-Dean Dr. Gloria Florendo said another Nursing Aptitude Test (NAT) will be given by the Testing and Evaluation Center on May 21 for interested enrolment applicants.

New qualifiers from the coming NAT test willjoin a number of earlier passers, who had obtained scores of 70% to 76.19%, already earmarked to join the second batch program, Dr. Florendo said. Those who will obtain an overall score of less than 70% will be placed in a waitlist, however. Available slots will be given based on the NAT ranking, she added.

Interested qualified students are requested to seek pre-registration at the nursing office immediately. Enrolment will start on May 24.

This second batch of corporate program students will hold classes at the Baliwasan Commercial Complex (BCC), where WMSU will rent space. The batch will conist of three sections.

Dr. Florendo said the new slot were created to accomodate the big number of students seeking enrolment in the college. (Rey-Luis Banagudos / PAO-WMSU)
