Western Mindanao State University through the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension and Development (RED) in partnership with the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) conducted a Seminar-Workshop on Bridging Leadership (BL) Framework for the three (3) barangays; Baliwasan, Canelar and San Jose Cawa-Cawa at WMSU recently.
The two-day workshop aims to introduce to barangay leaders the Bridging Leadership (BL) Framework as a leadership approach for leaders who face deep and complex inequities/divides, to recognize the role that barangay leaders need to face to bring about a more just community and to aply the tools under the BL Framework that would be helpful for barangay leaders to initiate a multistakeholder engagement in addressing the divides/issues in the community.
The participants of the workshop were from Baliwasan, Canelar and San Jose Cawa -Cawa represented by its Barangay Chairman namely Hon. Francisco Macias, Hon. Godofredo Sabordo, Sr. and Hon. Jaime Rebollos and their six (6) Kagawads.
The conduct of the BL workshop is a part of the University’s commitment to extend services to the different barangays in the city. WMSU-RED intends to bring the BL workshop to the West Coast Barangays, too, according to the Vice President for RED, Dr. Rufina A. Cruz, who was one of the resource speakers (Rosthel C.
