As the country celebrates Ease of Doing Business (EODB) <\/a>Month this May, Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) proudly joins the month-long celebration and takes part in the national campaign themed \u201cFrom Red Tape to Red Carpet: Better Business Movement in a Bagong Pilipinas.\u201d This initiative isn\u2019t just about simplifying transactions\u2014it\u2019s about transforming the way institutions serve the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WMSU is stepping up its efforts to cut red tape and improve the quality and speed of its services. Whether it is enrollment, procurement, or administrative processes, the university is focused on making things easier, faster, and more accessible for everyone it serves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past year, under the leadership of the university president, Dr. Ma. Carla A. Ochotorena, the university has rolled out digital systems that have significantly reduced waiting times and made transactions smoother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These efforts reflect WMSU\u2019s commitment to the goals of Republic Act No. 11032, or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act. But beyond compliance, the university sees this as an opportunity to lead by example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shift from \u201cred tape to red carpet\u201d symbolizes a deeper cultural change\u2014where service is proactive, processes are streamlined, and people are treated with respect and efficiency. It\u2019s about building trust and showing that public institutions can deliver with excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
