The ILS Elementary Department transformed its covered court into a hub of energy and philanthropy on April 30, 2026, as the General Parent-Teacher Association (GPTA) and faculty hosted a “Zumba for a Cause.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event brought together parents, teachers, and pupils for an afternoon of fitness and community spirit, with the primary objective of raising funds to support various school projects slated for the benefit of the department’s learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his welcome address, GPTA President Dr. Victor A. Liozo, Jr. expressed his deep appreciation for the unwavering support of WMSU President Dr. Ma. Carla A. Ochotorena, whose approval was pivotal in bringing the initiative to life. Dr. Liozo also extended his gratitude to City Mayor Hon. Khymer Adan Olaso for providing the Mobile LED wall, as well as to the generous donors who sponsored bottled water for the attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The success of the program was marked by the seamless collaboration between the GPTA officers, led by Dr. Liozo, and the faculty, headed by ILS Elementary Principal Dr. Ma. Nora D. Lai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The atmosphere was electric as elementary pupils showcased their enthusiasm, particularly during high-energy dance numbers set to the tracks “APT,” “Opalite,” and “Hawak Mo Ang Beat.” Teachers and parents joined in the movement, matching the vibrant energy of the students and fostering a sense of togetherness throughout the afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
