Opening the graduation season at Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), the Integrated Laboratory School Elementary Department held its 10th Kindergarten Moving-Up Ceremony on May 4, 2026, at the College of Teacher Education Social Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this year\u2019s theme, \u201cWMSU Graduates 2026: Transforming Excellence, Advancing Innovation, and Shaping a Smarter Future for Global Impact,\u201d the young completers received their certificates with excitement and pride, marking an important milestone in their early education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guest speaker Ms. Debra Ann M. Ponce, Planning Officer III, WMSU, highlighted the importance of these formative years, emphasizing that early childhood education goes beyond academics. She noted that it is a time for building foundational values such as politeness, helpfulness, and resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drawing relatable examples from characters children admire, she shared that like their favorite heroes, young learners also experience challenges, learn from mistakes, and continue to grow. She encouraged the completers to be brave, kind, and persistent, qualities that will guide them as they move forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ponce further emphasized that while children may not yet be solving complex global issues, this stage is crucial for developing small but meaningful habits that will shape their future. She encouraged parents and educators to give children the space to explore, dream, and discover who they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the ceremony concluded, the completers were reminded that a new journey awaits them in elementary school. The event celebrated not only the completion of kindergarten but also the beginning of a path filled with learning, growth, and endless possibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
