The Western Mindanao State University and the Council for Climate and Conflict Action Asia (CCAA) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on July 9, 2026, in Quezon City, Metro Manila, renewing their partnership to advance peacebuilding, conflict research, and policy development in Mindanao.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement strengthens collaboration in implementing the Conflict Alert conflict monitoring project and the Aksyon Alerto! radio programme. It supports evidence-based conflict analysis, curriculum development, research, and public advocacy to help inform policies and promote peace and development in the Zamboanga Peninsula and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The partnership also provides for the joint development of research, knowledge products, training curricula, and capacity-building initiatives for stakeholders engaged in peacebuilding, conflict studies, and human security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WMSU and CCAA will continue working together to promote informed decision-making and sustainable peace initiatives. The agreement will remain in effect until December 31, 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
