A short ceremonial program was held on Sunday, September 7 at the ILS Covered Court to formally open this year’s intramurals of the region’s University of Choice, the Western Mindanao State University.
The week-long intramurals, known as the WMSU Palaro, is a season of merrymaking and building friendship and bonds among students, faculty and the whole WMSU community not just through sports and recreational activities, but through visual and literary competitions as well.
“WMSU Palaro 2014: “Play for Unity, Build a Community” is the theme of this year’s Palaro which is aligned with the city’s vision of building back a better Zamboanga, quite timely since the anniversary of the Zamboanga siege is observed within the week of the Palaro.
