Federick D. Tuga placed 5th during the July 2012 Forester Licensure Examination while Mae-Ann D.G. Atilano ranked as the 9th placer for the July 2012 Nutritionist-Dietitian (ND) Licensure Examination. Both are graduates of Western Mindanao State University (WMSU).
Tuga is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Forestry (BSF) from the College of Forestry and Environmental Studies located at the San Ramon Campus, Talisayan of this city. He garnered an average of 83.05% in the licensure examination given by the Board of Foresters of the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) in cities of Manila and Davao.
On the other hand, Atilano is a Magna Cum Laude and Class 2012 Valedictorian who hails from the College of Home Economics-Nutrition and Dietetics Department. Atilano with an average of 84.05% was able to prove something as she emerged as the 9th placer among other topnotchers mostly coming from University of the Philippines-Diliman, University of the Philippines-Los Baños and University of Sto. Tomas. Atilano was also a scholar of La Hermandad Zamboangueña Foundation, Inc. during her college years.
WMSU has a passing rate of 66.67% as for the Forester Licensure Examination with 7 passers. PRC revealed that 166 out of 440 passed the said examination.
Meanwhile, 601 out of 896 passed the ND Licensure Examination given by the Board of Nutrition and Dietetics in Manila and Zamboanga this July 2012. WMSU earned a passing rate of 43.81% for the said exam with 52 passers. (Ekeena O. Lim, PAO-WMSU)
