The College of Engineering showcased their studentsโ€™ outputs through ENGBENSYON 2026 and the IECE Expo 2026, highlighting innovation, research, and technological solutions developed across its engineering programs.

Held on April 16, 2026, ENGBENSYON 2026 featured works of Computer Engineering students under the theme โ€œRealizing the Future We Forged: Showcasing Transformative Technologies and Intelligent Solutions.โ€ The term ENGBENSYON is a portmanteau of engineering and ๐˜ช๐˜ฎ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ด๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ (invention), emphasizing the studentsโ€™ ability to transform ideas into functional and impactful technologies.

Earlier, on March 26, 2026, the Industrial Engineering (IE) together with the Electronics Engineering (ECE) transformed the WMSU Covered Court into a dynamic space for innovation during the IECE Expo. Anchored on the theme โ€œSmart Agri: Integrated Electronics, Automation, and Industrial Optimization for Food Security,โ€ the event demonstrated how engineering solutions can address pressing agricultural challenges in the region.

Studentsโ€™ projects were evaluated by experts focusing on feasibility, scalability, and real-world application.

Through ENGBENSYON and the IECE Expo, WMSU reaffirmed its commitment to Industry 4.0, demonstrating how student-driven inventions and research outputs can contribute to sustainable development and technological advancement. (LMP,PAO)
