GOALS:

  1. Foster a culture of research and innovation focusing in the field of sports science and physical education through promoting collaborations among stakeholders in order to undertake impactful research projects.
  1. Produce knowledgeable, well-trained, and world-class professionals who can be leaders in their field of specialization.
  1. Empower local communities by providing technical expertise on sports, fitness and recreational programs addressing societal challenges through partnerships and networks with other organizations and agencies
  1. Promote an inclusive and diverse learning environment as its inherent function of contributing to the revival, preservation, and promotion of the Filipino cultural heritage.
  1. Provide effective teaching and learning opportunities in viewed with international standards of academic quality, relevance, and excellence.

PROGRAMS OFFERED

  1. BACHELOR OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION (BPED)

  1. Articulate the rootedness of education in philosophical, socio-cultural, historical, psychological, and political contexts
  2. Demonstrate mastery of subject matter/discipline
  3. Facilitate learning using a wide range of teaching methodologies and delivery modes appropriate to specific learners and their environment
  4. Develop innovative curricula, instructional plans, teaching approaches, and resources for diverse learners
  5. Apply skills in the development and utilization of ICT to promote quality, relevant, and sustainable educational practices
  6. Demonstrate a variety of thinking skills in planning, monitoring, assessing, and reporting learning processes and outcomes
  7. Practice professional and ethical teaching standards sensitive to the changing local, national, and global realities

  4. Employ evidence-based interventions in fitness, sports and recreation
  1. MASTER IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION (MPED)

  1. Advance knowledge and skills in a specialized, interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary field of study for professional practice
  2. Self-directed research

  1. DIPLOMA IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION (DiPED)
