Borne out of the need for a thorough understandng and more scholarly
study of Islam and the Mindanao Islamic groups, the university responded
with the creation of the Insitute of Asian and Islamic Studies. With
the initial offering of Islamic Studies, the Institute has since
included Asian Studies to further explore the potentials of inter-regional
relations in the course of development.
Vision:
The Institute serves in hope of becoming the acknowledged hub of regional networks of globally recognized centers of advance learning in Asian and Islamic lore.
Mission:
Consistent with the policies and programs of the University, the Institute molds promising young men and women:
