The College of Science and Mathematics was created as a response
to the continuing emphasis for a strong science and mathematics foundation
in the course of socio-economic development. Complementary to the
college's mandate is the Regional Science Teaching Center (RSTC)
that caters to the consistent training of basic science and mathematics
teachers in the region.
Vision:
The CSM shall be one of the internationally-recognized Centers of
Excellence and leading institution in human resources development
and research in the pure and applied science in the country and the
ASEAN region.
Mission:
To produce educated, science-oriented professionals equipped with
advance scientific knowledge, skills, desirable scientific values
and attitudes, and capabilities to search for new knowledge for the
enhancement of the environment and quality of life. It shall endeavor
to push the frontier of knowledge to its limit through research in
the pure and applied science, which shall translate to harmonious,
balanced socio economics and environmental development of the country.
