The Western Mindanao State University-College of Computing Studies (WMSU-CCS) proudly celebrates the victory of Team Null, a group of innovative third-year and second-year BS Computer Science students, who claimed first place in the prestigious FlutterFlow HackFest: Impact Challenge. The competition took place in Taguig City and Makati City, showcasing the brightest tech minds from across the country.
Team Null wowed judges with Sustancia, an app designed to promote healthier eating habits through advanced photo analysis and city-wide nutrition trends. With a simple snap of their meal, users can receive personalized dietary advice, such as reducing carbohydrates or adding vegetables for a more balanced diet.
In addition to individualized meal recommendations, Sustancia features city-wide food analytics that raise awareness about nutrition trends across different regions. This innovative approach not only encourages mindful eating but also aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being, empowering users to make healthier choices.
A testament to their technical prowess, Team Null built Sustancia in just 24 hours using FlutterFlow, a powerful visual development environment platform. Their hard work and creativity earned them the grand prize of ₱50,000 and six months of FlutterFlow Pro, enabling them to further refine their project and create an even greater impact.
