On July 7, 2026, Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), in partnership with the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office IX (CHED-9), conducted a Student Financial Assistance Programs Orientation for beneficiaries of various government scholarship and financial assistance programs at the Juanito Bruno Gymnasium.

The orientation aimed to familiarize student beneficiaries with the benefits, policies, responsibilities, and guidelines of their respective scholarship programs to help them maximize the opportunities provided by the government.

In his welcome message, Dr. Fredelino M. San Juan, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, encouraged the scholars to fully understand the benefits, requirements, and responsibilities of their respective scholarship programs. He emphasized that being well-informed enables scholars to make the most of the assistance they receive while fulfilling their obligations as student beneficiaries.
