Western Mindanao State University welcomed 87 newly appointed personnel during an oath-taking ceremony held September 30 at the College of Teacher Education (CTE) Social Hall.
The appointees comprised 75 faculty members and 12 administrative personnel, who took their oath of office before University President Dr. Ma. Carla A. Ochotorena, formally marking the start of their service at the university.
Dr. Ochotorena congratulated the new appointees and encouraged them to carry out their responsibilities with commitment, professionalism, and accountability as they contribute to the university, its students, and the communities it serves.
Meanwhile, Human Resource Management Officer Atty. Christine Joy Bucoy described the oath-taking as a significant milestone in the appointeesβ entry into public service.
βTaking this oath is more than a legal requirement; it is a sacred pledge of accountability to the public,β Atty. Bucoy said, urging the new personnel to uphold excellence, professionalism, and integrity in the performance of their duties.
