Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Nursing unveiled the results last Thursday, in which 27,823 examinees passed out of 60,895. The examinations were held in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Nueva Ecija, Pagadian, Pampanga, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last June 30 and July 1.
The success of Capalad and Ang is shared by the WMSU-College of Nursing (CN) for it is the first time that the college has produced two topnotchers in a single examination. It is noteworthy to mention that WMSU-CN holds an impressive record for producing topnotchers in the past.
Capalad earned an average of 84.40%, while Ang garnered an average of 84.0% which placed them in the top ten. On the other hand, this year’s top one hails from the University of Sto. Tomas – Roxanne Trinity D. Lim.
A motorcade around the city proper was held in honor of the topnotchers last Saturday. The motorcade was headed by the College of Nursing dean, Prof. Leila D. Benito and was participated by the faculty members and students. (Ekeena O. Lim, PAO-WMSU)
