KSA-based alumnus donates Archi books to WMSU
February 12, 2015

A graduate of the Western Mindanao State University-College of Architecture, Arch. Jason Agriam donated Architecture books and magazines to the university as a sign of gratitude to the institution that honed him to become at par with other architects in the international scene.

Arch. Agriam of the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Chapter, is presently connected with ArkiTectonica—a group of architects, engineers and planners that offer full range architectural designs in the middle east.
With Arch. Agriam were representatives from the UAP-Zamboanga Chavacano Chapter.

The alumnus shared some of his memories back when he was a student in WMSU’s College of Architecture. He recalled visiting the Library a couple of times. The University library back then was not yet fully equipped with modern books and that inspired Arch. Agriam to donate informational books to the university.

This, according to Arch. Agriam, is also a way to inspire other WMSU alumni to give back, come home to WMSU and share their knowledge to the students of WMSU to gear them up as they graduate and step on to the real world.

WMSU President, Dr. Milabel Enriquez-Ho, accepted the gifts from UAP in a meeting held at the Office of the President’s Conference Room on Monday, January 26.

“Gratefulness in the heart can never be paid by any amount,” said Dr. Ho, who thanked Arch. Agriam and other members of the UAP present.

Currently, WMSU is the only institution in the whole region that offers Architecture course to students from all over Zamboanga Peninsula.
