WMSU, AIM to Strengthen Local Execs Leadership Capabilities

The Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement on February 22 with the Asian Institute of Management Scientific Research Foundation through the AIM Team Energy Center (AIM-TEC) for Bridging Leadership for the implementation of the program dubbed as “World Bank-AIM Team Energy Center Bridging Leaders Program,” also known as “Bridging Leadership Fellows Program for Conflict-Affected areas in Muslim Mindanao, Philippines.”

WMSU was represented by its President Dr. Grace J. Rebollos, while AIM was represented by Edilberto C. de Jesus and Nieves R. Confessor, the president and the executive director of AIM Team Energy. Program implementation is from January 2011 to April 2013. Dr. Ederlinda Fernandez, Dean, College of Public Administration and Development Studies is the Project Coordinator.

The Bridging Leadership Program aims to develop and strengthen the decision-making capabilities and leadership skills of local chief executives, including barangay officials. It is anchored on the principles of consultative and participatory governance. (Evelyn C. LuceƱo, PAO-WMSU)
