WMSU hosts QMS Development workshop on Internationalization

In a significant stride towards global engagement, Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), through the External Linkages and International Relations Office (ELIRO) hosted a two-day workshop aimed at developing and strategizing WMSU’s internationalization programs. Held from April 29 to 30, 2024, the event marked a pivotal moment for WMSU’s commitment to advancing internationalization within higher education.

Under the guidance of esteemed resource speaker Ms. Jennifer Montero, Regional Manager of Camosun College in British Columbia, Canada, the workshop facilitated a dynamic exchange of ideas and insights. Ms. Montero, renowned for her expertise in internationalization programs, provided invaluable perspectives gleaned from her experience at Camosun College and at the Commission on Higher Education-International Affairs Services (CHED-IAS).

Participants, hailing from diverse educational and administrative units of WMSU, engaged in discussions, workshops, and practical exercises aimed at navigating the intricacies of adapting academic quality processes for global engagement. The collaborative spirit among attendees underscored the importance of a collective approach in addressing the challenges of internationalization.

Moreover, the workshop welcomed esteemed guests from various universities in the Philippines and Indonesia, who joined online to share their experiences and best practices in internationalization efforts.
