With the aim of empowering scholars in academic and research pursuits, the WMSU DOST-SEI CBPSME Scholars Association organized a day-long training workshop on May 2, 2024, at the CSM Conference Hall, WMSU. Themed “Training Workshop on Proposal Packaging in Science Education,” the event focused on equipping scholars with essential skills and knowledge crucial for their thesis endeavors.

Under the visionary leadership of project director Dr. Mohammad Nur S. Paspasan, the workshop’s significance and purpose were emphasized, highlighting its role in assisting scholars in crafting effective thesis proposals and supporting them in successfully completing their academic programs. Moreover, Dr. Paspasan provided an orientation for the new batch of scholars and incoming applicants on the scholarship’s structure and opportunities.

The essence of the workshop was the enlightening sessions led by esteemed resource speakers Dr. Genelyn G. Madjos and Associate Professor Jenifer M. Ramallosa, who shared their expertise in research methodologies and academic writing. The lecture culminated with a writeshop session where scholars developed action plans for their theses, coupled with mentoring for guidance.

The CBPSME graduate scholars from 2021 to 2023 also expressed gratitude for initiatives like the training workshop, sharing their testimonials about the transformative impact of the DOST-SEI scholarship on both their scholarly pursuits and personal development. The program concluded with the distribution of certificates to participants and closing remarks delivered by Mr. Jay Arthur P. Guanzon, the Scholars Association president. (Ms. Von Glydel R.
