Carrying the theme โ€œContemporary Challenges to World Order: Establishing a New Era of Peace and Prosperity,โ€ the summit brought together prominent leaders and changemakers from across the globe. Dr. Ochotorena stood out as she passionately highlighted the crucial role of education in global peacebuilding and empowering women.

She shared that WMSU has long embraced its responsibility as a peace-building institution, actively promoting education as a tool for unity, empathy, and shared understanding. She further emphasized her commitment to push for women’s empowerment through education, believing that inclusive development is only possible when women are given equal access to learning and leadership opportunities.

Her message resonated with the summitโ€™s core idealsโ€”emphasizing how education serves as a foundation for establishing peace in divided societies and fostering inclusive prosperity.

Joining her on the global stage were other 12 influential figures such as H.E. Madam Signe Zeikate, First Lady of the Republic of Costa Rica; H.E. Madam Fatima Vila Nova, First Lady of Sรฃo Tomรฉ and Prรญncipe; H.E. Madam Dr. Ida Odinga, spouse of the Prime Minister of Kenya; and H.E. Dame Patience Jonathan, Former First Lady of Nigeria.

The World Summit, hosted by the Universal Peace Federation (UPF), serves as a premier international platform. It unites leaders and experts from politics, economics, religion, culture, media, and the arts to pursue solutions to global crisesโ€”including the inter-Korean conflictโ€”through principles of interdependence, mutual prosperity, and universally shared values.

Dr. Ochotorenaโ€™s presence and message at the summit not only represented the Philippines with pride but also underscored WMSUโ€™s global relevance and her unwavering commitment to shaping a more peaceful, equitable, and empowered world through education. (Aziz S., PAO)
