WMSU Holds Language Proficiency Training Certification Program Completion Ceremony

In a celebration of learning and achievement, Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) hosted the Language Proficiency Training Certification Program Completion Ceremony at the Juanito Bruno Gymnasium on April 8, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. The event was held under the theme โ€œEnhancing Language Proficiency as a Leverage for Global Competitiveness.โ€

The program recognized the dedication and efforts of students who successfully completed the universityโ€™s intensive language training course, aimed at improving English communication skills for academic, professional, and international pursuits.

In her welcome remarks, Dr. Nursia M. Barjose, Vice President for Academic Affairs of Western Mindanao State University, emphasized the importance of language skills because it serves as a bridge that connects cultures and unlocks countless opportunities in the global arena, opening doors to greater possibilities for all.

The event featured messages from university officials, testimonials from participants, and the awarding of certificates. A cultural intermission showcasing the diverse talents of the universityโ€™s students added color and energy to the program.

Professor Eddie M. Nuque, delivered the keynote address, encouraging the completers to continue honing their skills and to be ambassadors of linguistic excellence in their respective fields. He further added that a robust and active program, aligned with synchronized English proficiency standards, is essential in guiding learners toward achieving the B1 level proficiency goal.

As the ceremony concluded, the atmosphere was one of pride and hope, with participants expressing gratitude for the opportunity to improve their communication skills and better prepare for a globally competitive environment.
