The WMSU Library family is brimming with immense pride as we celebrate our very own University Librarian, Dr. Benhur A. Asid, who was selected as the recipient of the prestigious 𝗘𝘂𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗼 𝗕. 𝗥𝗼𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘇 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 by the Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. (PLAI)!

This selection is a powerful testament to Dr. Asid’s unwavering commitment, visionary leadership, and groundbreaking dedication, recognizing his outstanding achievements across Significant Contributions, Professional Excellence, Leadership and Collaboration, and Community Engagement.

We are ecstatic to share that he formally received this well-deserved professional honor last November 25, 2025, during the Librarians and Awards Night at the PLAI National Congress in SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City.
