Third-year Bachelor of Science in Home Economics (BSHE) students of Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) successfully held their culminating activity at the WMSU Covered Court on April 23 as part of their final examination through a practical display and competition.

With the theme “Arte y Mesa: Tradicion y Creatividad de Zamboanga en el Arte del Servicio de Alimentos,” the event formally opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by College of Home Economics Dean Dr. Lucia M. Santos.

The students competed in fruit and vegetable carving, table setting, backdrop installation, table skirting setup, and centerpiece arrangement, showcasing their skills in food preparation and event styling. The activity served as a platform for them to apply their knowledge and demonstrate their competencies under the guidance and evaluation of their professors.
