Region IX Shines in PASUC NCAF 2026 Visual Arts Competition

Region IX demonstrated outstanding artistic excellence at the PASUC National Culture and the Arts Festival (NCAF) 2026, securing the 1st Runner-up overall rank in Visual Arts with a total of 22 points, just behind Region IV, which led with 24 points.

Among the standout performers were WMSU BS Architecture students Mark Jayson B. Domael , who earned 2nd Runner-up in Charcoal Rendering, and Mimorod C. Banaag, who also placed 2nd Runner-up in the Painting Competition. Their achievements reflect both technical skill and creative expression, contributing significantly to the region’s overall success.

Guiding the team was Coach Anthony Barandino, whose leadership and mentorship played a crucial role in honing the participants’ talents and preparing them for national-level competition.

This accomplishment highlights WMSU’s growing presence in the field of visual arts and reinforces its commitment to nurturing artistic excellence among student (LMP, PAO)
