The Office of the President, Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), proudly congratulates 16 registered criminologists who have been recently appointed as Inspectors of the Philippine National Police, and who are graduates of the then College of Criminology, now the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE).
In a report to Dr. Grace J. Rebollos, WMSU President, Dean Effrenddy M. Estipona of CCJE said that the college has the most number of registered Criminologists who have been promoted through lateral entry to the rank of Police Inspector.
Furthermore, Estipona revealed that these appointees went through a rigid selection process that consisted of a battery of written and oral examinations.
The new appointees and their corresponding assignments in Region 9 are: Police Inspectors Hazen Advento, PNP Regional Command 9; Olympus Bas, Regional Mobile Group; Paul Andrew Cortez, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), Investigation Division; Jarwin dela Cruz, PNP Aviation Security Group; Jane Felizarte, Regional Mobile Group; Abubakar A. Ibno, ZCPO Patrol Division; George Junar, PNP Command Zamboanga del Sur; Mohamar R. Mariwa, ZCPO Investigation Division; Ardee S. Oliveros, Regional Mobile Group; Karib Muharram, Regional Mobile Group; Geronimo Miniosa, PNP City Mobile Group; Chester N. Natividad, ZCPO; and Rico Pondol, Regional Mobile Group. Julkandi Sahial, is assigned to the PNP, Autonomous Regional in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
CCJE, WMSU has proven once more its competence as a college through its successful graduates who continue to prove their excellence in their chosen profession.
