Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) has solidified its collaboration with the Commission on Human Rights’ Center for Human Rights Education (CHO-CHRE), marking the renewal of their partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement signed last February 21, 2024.
During the signing ceremony, University President Dr. Ma. Carla A. Ochotorena reiterated her full support for the commission’s endeavors aimed at cultivating a safe and respectful society. Dr. Ochotorena emphasized the importance of reinforcing peace education within the university as a crucial step towards achieving this goal. Through these initiatives, the university aims to instill a culture of human rights among its student body, fostering a more inclusive and rights-respecting environment within the campus community.
