On July 25, 2024, a significant turnover ceremony took place at Western Mindanao State University’s College of Agriculture, marking the completion of two major infrastructure projects: the Enhancement of Artificial Insemination for the ZamPen Native Chicken Research and Development Center and the Enhancement of the Native Chicken Processing Facility.
These advancements promise to bolster the university’s research capabilities and contribute to the growth of the local poultry industry. The upgraded facilities are expected to enable cutting-edge research, improve the quality of native chicken breeds, and enhance processing techniques.
Dr. Ma. Carla A. Ochotorena, the University President, expressed high hopes for these new facilities. “We are excited about the potential impact these enhancements will have on our research and development efforts. The upgraded infrastructures will not only advance our scientific studies but also support the local agricultural community.”
With these new infrastructures, Western Mindanao State University continues to lead the way in agricultural research and development, further solidifying its commitment to academic excellence and community service.
