Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Zamboanga City Economic Zone Authority and Freeport (ZAMBOECOZONE) on July 30, 2024

his agreement grants WMSU access to ZAMBOECOZONE’s 13.2 kilovolt line for the San Ramon Campus.

Dr. Ma. Carla A. Ochotrena expressed gratitude to Dr. Raul M. Regondola, Chairman and Administrator of ZAMBOECOZONE, for supporting WMSU’s development, particularly at the San Ramon Campus. She also hopes for future collaborations in research, development, and food security.

Dr. Regondola echoed these sentiments, expressing his desire for the MOA to strengthen the relationship between WMSU and ZAMBOECOZONE, enhancing their efforts to become a premier hub for trade, manufacturing, eco-tourism, and the agro-industrial sector.
