Love was in the air (and crowns on their heads!) at the ILS Elementary Department’s spectacular Family Love Day and Coronation of the King and Queen of Hearts 2025! Held at the WMSU Gymnasium on February 8, 2024, the event was a vibrant celebration of family, community, and fun.
The festivities kicked off with a heartfelt welcome from GPTA President, Dr. Carl Richard C. Dagalea, who serenaded attendees with a thank-you song dedicated to the parents, teachers, donors, and the ever-supportive WMSU Administration, especially President Dr. Ma. Carla A. Ochotorena. Dr. Fredelino M. San Juan, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, representing the WMSU President, delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the vital role of loving families in building a stronger nation.
The day was a whirlwind of excitement! Parents and children showcased their talents, laughter filled the air during the BINGO socials, and a mesmerizing magic show captivated the audience. Families created lasting memories at the photo booth, and lucky attendees went home with exciting door prizes. The joy was contagious!
The highlight of the evening was the majestic Coronation of the King and Queen of Hearts 2025. This fundraising initiative, supporting vital GPTA projects, saw Ryyan Eihzan Matarul crowned King and Jannah Mae Sabdani crowned Queen. A huge congratulations to the 13 princes and princesses whose fundraising efforts, along with the support of their class advisors and parents, made this event possible!
Dr. Anna Louisa R. Perez, Principal of the ILS Elementary Department, expressed her sincere gratitude to the WMSU Administration, the GPTA Executive Officers and Board Members, the dedicated ILS Elementary faculty, and the incredible parents for their exemplary teamwork and dedication, which was very instrumental in making the Family Love Day and King and Queen of Hearts celebration a resounding success.
