On February 13, 2025, the Western Mindanao State University Integrated Laboratory School (WMSU ILS) Elementary Department hosted a heartfelt and memorable fellowship for Grade Five and Six pupils at the Elegant Glass House, Astoria Regency in Pasonanca, Zamboanga City. The event was a beautiful celebration of tradition, mentorship, and camaraderie. The program began with the Lighting of the Torch of Wisdom, a symbolic gesture representing the passing of knowledge and leadership from the outgoing batch to the next generation. This was followed by the Turn-over Rites, a formal ceremony where the senior pupils entrusted their responsibilities and roles to their younger counterparts. The Exchange of the Candle of Knowledge further reinforced the essence of guidance and inspiration, illuminating the journey ahead for the students. Adding a heartfelt touch to the event, both batches exchanged tokens and candles, serving as meaningful keepsakes that embodied the bonds they had formed. A particularly touching moment was the Bequeathal and Acceptance of the Class Will and Testament, where the graduating pupils shared words of wisdom, encouragement, and aspirations, ensuring that their legacy would continue within WMSU ILS Elementary. As the formal program concluded, the atmosphere turned jubilant with a lively fellowship dance, where everyone came together to celebrate the occasion with joy and unity.
