Western Mindanao State University successfully underwent its 1st Surveillance Audit under the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System conducted by Certification International Philippines, Inc. (CIP) on August 27-29, 2025.

The three-day external audit was conducted by Mr. Paul Timothy Hupanda, Team Leader, and Ms. Ma. Jane Escalada. The assessment reviewed WMSU’s compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, particularly the effectiveness of its quality management system and service delivery across academic and administrative units.

All previously identified nonconformities were resolved, leaving only one still open for corrective action. Notably, no new nonconformities were identified during this surveillance audit, reflecting the university’s strengthened adherence to quality assurance processes.

The audit also provided recommendations aimed at enhancing institutional practices and sustaining continuous improvement. WMSU regards this outcome as a testament to its commitment to maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certification and ensuring that its services meet internationally recognized standards. (LMP, PAO)
