Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) held an oath-taking ceremony on September 8, 2025, with University President Dr. Ma. Carla A. Ochotorena administering the oath of office. The event formally welcomed newly hired faculty members and recognized faculty and administrative staff who have recently received promotions, marking an important milestone in their professional journey with the university.
In her message, Dr. Ochotorena emphasized the vital role of the oath-takers in advancing WMSU’s mission as a center of learning and public service. She reminded them that their responsibilities go beyond their respective functions, as they are entrusted with shaping the lives of students and strengthening the university’s contributions to the broader community.
The University President also urged the new and promoted personnel to continue striving for excellence, innovation, and growth in their work. She affirmed that their dedication and commitment will not only uplift the standards of the institution but also ensure that WMSU remains responsive to the needs of its students and stakeholders.
