The College of Computing Studies (CCS) of Western Mindanao State University proudly announces that its faculty members, Mr. Jaydee C. Ballaho and Mr. Rhamirl B. Jaafar, have been awarded the Vanguard Award during the DICT Cyber Range Friendly Exercises held today, November 20, 2025 at Royce Hall 2, Grand Astoria Hotel, Zamboanga City.
The DICT Cyber Range is a state-of-the-art virtual training platform that simulates real-world cyberattacks, enabling participants to practice incident response, threat detection, digital forensics, and defensive strategies in a controlled and realistic environment.
The Vanguard Award recognizes outstanding performance, technical excellence, and readiness in cybersecurity operations. Earning this award highlights the faculty’s exceptional skills, quick response, and commitment to advancing cybersecurity capabilities in both educational and practical contexts.
