Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) proudly celebrates a remarkable achievement in innovation and research. The University was honored with the prestigious Platinum Award during the Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) Presidential Summit Award by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) today, March 25, 2026, at Diversion 21 Hotel in Iloilo City.

Representing WMSU President Dr. Ma. Carla A. Ochotorena, Engr. Arvic S. Francisco, head of the Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management – Innovation and Technology Support Office (IPTBM-ITSO) under the Vice President for Research and Extension – Research Development and Evaluation Center, attended the event on behalf of the University.

This outstanding recognition reflects WMSU’s unwavering commitment to advancing innovation, strengthening intellectual property development, and fostering a culture of research and creativity.
