The Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), along with the Zamboanga Peninsula delegation, under the leadership of University President and PASUC Regional Chair, Dr. Ma. Carla A. Ochotorena, participated in the opening ceremonies of the 2026 PASUC National Culture and Arts Festival (NCAF) at West Visayas State University in Iloilo City on April 8, 2026.

The festival officially commenced with a grand parade that showcased the rich and diverse cultures of participating regions across the country. Delegates proudly displayed their traditional attire, artistic expressions, and cultural heritage, celebrating the vibrancy of Filipino culture and the arts. The event also highlighted the strong camaraderie and collaboration among State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), strengthening unity through cultural appreciation and shared excellence. (AAS, PAO)
